Wow! March is here again. Yup, as started by my friend Cedric Hohnstadt in 2011, March is the month to commit to sketch something (non-work related) every day. I've been drawing every day, but I got so wrapped up posting them on my Instagram & Facebook, I've been forgetting to post them here! Shame on me. So, here is the first 30% of the month I missed. Enjoy...
March 1: Watercolor sketch of my dog.
March 2: Fingerpainting on my iPad.
March 3: Pencil sketch of a lovely wahine in my Moleskine.
March 4: My daughter's cats sitting in the window.
March 5: A thank you note for people who helped us move to our new house.
March 6: More wahine.
March 7: The 11th Doctor on an envelope I sent to my daughter. (Envelopes are cool.)
March 8: Sketch on another envelope that I sent to an artist friend:
March 9: A model I found online.
March 10: Hume Cronyn, from the book "Actors Acting".
March 11: Stayed up late drawing after watching "The Walking Dead". Love Michonne.
This is a series of postcards I drew to send to my daughter while she is away at school. I'm sending one every couple of days. I don't think she reads this blog, so posting it here hasn't ruined any surprise for her. Besides, I think she has them all except for George right now.
I'm just glad she's not a fan of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!
Just a little stylized elephant I sent off recently as a thank you for some souvenirs. It seems every time I drawn an elephant I try to find a different color to paint it. I particularly like blues and greens, but this rusty version was a nice shift. Opinions?
